Calls are recorded
SlashExperts operates Experts+, a booking system that connects people evaluating a product with experts who already use it. When a call booked through Experts+ is held on our dial-in line, we record the audio of the call and create a transcript and an AI-generated summary. Calls held through Google Meet are not recorded by SlashExperts.
When you are told
- In the booking confirmation and reminder emails sent before the call.
- In this notice, our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, which are linked from the booking form.
By joining a call on our dial-in line, you consent to it being recorded and transcribed. If you do not want to be recorded, please do not join the call, and let us know at hello@slashexperts.com.
Who receives the recording
- The company hosting the program. The company whose expert program you booked through, or joined as an expert, can listen to the recording and read the transcript and summary. A company only receives recordings of calls booked through its own program.
- The expert on the call. The expert who took the call can read its transcript.
- Our service providers. Twilio connects and records the call, Amazon Web Services stores the audio, OpenAI transcribes and summarizes it, and MongoDB Atlas stores transcripts. They process it on our behalf to provide the service.
How we use it
We use recordings and transcripts to provide the service to the company hosting the program, including transcripts, summaries, search and topic insights. We may also create de-identified, aggregated information from calls that does not identify you, any expert or any company, and use it to analyze and improve our services.
We do not sell recordings or transcripts, we do not use them for advertising, and we do not use recordings to identify anyone by their voice.
How long we keep it, and your choices
We keep recordings and transcripts while the hosting company’s account is open, as described in our Privacy Policy. To ask about or request deletion of a recording of a call you took part in, email hello@slashexperts.com. Where we hold the recording on behalf of the hosting company, we will work with that company to respond.
